About

I live in Iquitos, Peru and moderate BioBio.com’s blog.

Here we talk about dugout canoes, paddles, and other tools and crafts in the Amazon Basin suitable for rainforest displays.

We discuss how these tools are constructed, a little about their history, environmental impact, and how they can be shipped to display designers.

I must warn you, though, I can’t do this alone. I need guest articles and plenty of feedback. I’ll contribute as much as I can, but I’d like to spend as much time as I can on the river and not in a dingy internet café typing on a keyboard impossible to read.

So, send me what you have, try to keep it topical, more or less tell the truth, and I’ll post it when I find a good internet connection.

John
